Cellular
The Ewon gateway needs a WAN communication medium to connect to the Internet and perform many actions such as:
- establish its VPN connection;
- sync with external time servers;
- send data to external file servers;
- ...
The cellular (3G or 4G) WAN interface allows you to use mobile access to connect to the Internet. Once you put a SIM card inside the Ewon gateway and define the required mobile information - PIN code, APN, ... - the Ewon gateway will have access to Internet and to online resources such as the Talk2M service.
- The cellular connection interface also allows sending and receiving SMS (text messages).
- The celular GSM connection interface does not allow incoming connections.
On the Ewon Flexy, you'll need to use either:
- the Ewon Flexy extension card for 3G networks: FLB 3202 - 3G GSM
