NTP

The Ewon gateway can act as an NTP (Network Time Protocol) client to update its date & time but also as an NTP server to provide its date & time to external devices.

In general, the Ewon gateways configured to act as an NTP client will synchronize with the NTP server on a regular basis (configurable time interval).
Talk2M can act as NTP server for the Ewon gateway.

Nonetheless, you can force the synchronization programmatically, using either the BASIC command NTPSync or the NTP_SYNC method of the ScheduledActionManager class in JAVA.

Keeping the date and time accurate on the Ewon gateway is important if you use the data logging features of the Ewon gateway or to avoid VPN connection issues due to certificate validity checks.
