Transparent Gateway

The Ewon gateway with a serial or MPI port can act as transparent gateway between the Ethernet and the serial/MPI interface.
This allows the Ewon gateway to act, for example, as a Modbus TCP to Modbus RTU gateway.

The communication settings of the serial port - in use by the serial protocol you would like to apply - is configured using the IO server configuration web page.

For example if you want to configure the Ewon gateway as a Modbus Ethernet to Modbus RTU gateway, then specify the settings for the serial port inside the Modbus IO server.
The gateway feature will be automatically activated.
